WhatsApp, the giant texting company has officially rolled out much awaited pinned chats feature for all Android users. Users will start seeing the update and can update the app through play store.
Last month it was noticed in the WhatsApp beta that the developers were looking to introduce a new feature to the app in the form of pinned chats. Regardless of the incoming messages it lets you pin your top priority users straight up to the top. For those who are unfamiliar or might have missed the news, basically what this does is that it allows users to pin up to three chats to the top of the list.

LasUsers can now pin up to three of the most important group or individual chats to the top of their chat list for easy access simply tap and hold a chat, and then tap the pin icon at the top of your screen, noted WhatsApp in a press statement.With the new feature, users can pin up to three message conversations right on top of all WhatsApp chats. It’s currently only available to Android users and we do not know when iOS and Windows users will start seeing this update.
This feature will help users prioritize the contacts and use them without having to scroll through the app which will save a lot of time in the long run.
How to pin chats:
Just tap hold on the chat, and you’ll get a pin icon next to the delete, mute and archive option that appear right on top.
In order to unpin, long press on the chat, and you’ll see the unpin option on top this time.
If you have an office or Family group, then perhaps you can pin it right on the top, in order to ensure that you don’t miss messages from them.
The new feature is very handy for those who find their WhatsApp swamped with random messages. With the new feature, users can pin up to three message conversations right on top of all WhatsApp chats. Once you have pinned a conversation in WhatsApp, it will come right on top, no matter what other messages are streaming in.
This feature was already available in messaging app Telegram but that app isn’t as insanely popular as WhatsApp is.
